Regional Housing Partnership buys apartments

CHARLOTTE – Regional Housing Partnership LLC recently completed the purchase of the 18-unit Grant Station Apartments in northwest Charlotte’s Lakewood neighborhood.

The apartments provide affordable, income-based housing to low-income families in the Charlotte area. The two-bedroom townhouses are approximately 900 square feet. Six of the units are dedicated to low-income residents with a disability.

“Regional Housing Partnership is grateful for the opportunity to expand the services and housing we provide to our community, and we look forward to being great neighbors to Lakewood’s residents,” said Shannon Frady, executive director of the nonprofit.

RHP partnered with the City of Charlotte and the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency to acquire its first multi-family unit. It also owns three single-family homes and assists more than 90 local clients with housing subsidies and supportive services and 500 additional families with a continuum of housing services.
